Supreme Resources Ltd. is a Canadian junior exploration mining company; its shares are publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol SPR and the OTC Markets under the symbol SPRWF.
Supreme Resources’ goal is to increase shareholder value by developing exploration projects that have the potential of becoming new discoveries.
Ample Gold Max Gold Project
Supreme Resources in 2008 drilled 7 exploration holes on its 100% owned Ample Gold Max property.
Previous samples from quartz veins recorded gold values as high as 66.34 g/t (2.34 ounces per ton).
During 1996 to 1999 Homestake Canada Inc. and Gold-Ore Resources Ltd. drilled 5,506 meters (16,404 feet) in 37 drill holes, and spent over $1.0 million on exploration on the Ample Goldmax Project.
Previous drilling results included intersections grading 11.76g/t gold over 8.2m, 4.5g/t gold over 7.2m, 9.5g/t gold over 1.5m and 3.9g/t gold over 5.0m.
Many of the identified mineralized zones display visible gold and abundant sulphide gold bearing lenses are along a strike length of mineralized showings over 1 km ( 0.62 miles) in length.
Supreme’s 2008 exploration drill hole AG 08-38, which was a “twin” to Homestake’s hole AG 96-07, collared in the same location and drilled in the same direction (azimuth) and at the same dip angle as the Homestake hole, returned this comparison:
| Homestake | AG 96-07 | 24.80m to 33.00m | 8.20m | 11.76 g/t Au |
| Supreme | AG 08-38 | 31.36m to 38.45m | 7.09m | 6.60 g/t Au |
The apparent thicknesses and grades are reasonably similar, considering the nugget effect, and are thought to constitute good agreement between the two drill holes. The difference in depth may be due to deviation in the Homestake drill hole. The intercept in Supreme’s hole AG 08-38 is considered to be confirmation of the zone of gold mineralization encountered by the previous Homestake drill hole.
Hole AG 08-37 entered a zone of gold mineralization not disclosed by the previous drilling. This hole had an intercept of 6.09m grading 4.17 g/t Au, the tenth best drill hole intercept on the property.
A new, near-surface zone of significant gold mineralization was discovered in Supreme’s drill Hole AG 08-39, which encountered an estimated 8.53m of mineralized rock with an average gold grade of 5.91 g/t (the 4th best drill hole intercept on the property). This intercept is poorly documented, however, because of poor core recovery (averaging only 22%) achieved through this zone of extremely difficult drilling. The mineralized rock is characterized by abundant quartz veining with strong iron oxide development and the presence of visible gold at about 16.46m down the hole.
Drill hole AG 08-40 also attempted to test this near-surface zone of mineralization but was also unable to achieve adequate core recovery through the mineralized zone. However, this hole did encounter quartz veining with visible gold in an interval from 5.65m to 6.71m (1.06m) grading 10.72 g/t Au, indicating that the near-surface zone of high-grade gold mineralization discovered by hole AG 08-39 extends at least nine meters (and possibly farther) in an east-west direction.
Drill hole AG 08-41 had no significant intercepts due too poor recoverablilty and Drill hole AG 08-42 was abandoned due to poor drilling conditions.
